5 Ways to Change your Mind's Input as a Believer

Our minds work like very sophisticated computers. Just like the "garbage-in garbage-out" instructions, the mind takes in any information it is fed. It then merges such information with the experience of our lifetime, and gives its feedback to us as our response to any situation.

Changing your Mind's Input by Nelson Vincent

The general rule is that you get in life what you create. Whatsoever you put in your mind is what it gives back to you. This is because the thoughts and inner voice of a man are crucial elements in deciding what is created in the life of such individual.

The mind is so powerful to cause positive things to existence. At the same time, the mind is yet so vulnerable that whatever negative things you give it will eventually come out. If you put negativity into your mind, then negativity will yield qnd if you put positive things into your mind, then positive things will yield. Life is literally an echo; you get back what you put into it. If you tend to plant negative thoughts, then what do you suppose will grow inside your mind?

How you can change your Mind's Input as a Believer?

It is really possible to change what goes into a man. It is possible to have control over what input gets into the heart and mind. The mind can be symbolised as an empty glass cup which you can fill with anything you had like to fill it with. Now, although you can fill it with anything you like, will it be wise to put in stones and sand instead of water?

You have the power to fill it with anything you would love to put into it. At the same time, you need to remember that it is what you give into it that will yield. These are a few proven ways to help you change your mind's input as a believer.

1. Change what you Hear and See.

There are entry points into the heart of man. The eyes and ears are two tangible entry points that God wants to communicate life through. At the same time, the devil wants to ensure that man's heart is polluted, so he strives for these entry points too. Whichever master you permit to man the gates of these entry points determine the havoc or growth that you will make. Apart from what goes on around us, the Media today largely affects what we hear and see. Your life moves in the direction of your most dominant thoughts.

2. Change what you do in your spare time

The actions and activities we commit ourselves too determine the kind of individual we become. For many people, free time becomes a time when your mind begins to roam. You must have heard that an idle mind is the devil's workshop and as a believer, you definitely don't want the devil to come anywhere near your space. As such, it is necessary that you change and positively influence what you do in your spare time.

3. Change Who you associate with.

If your friends are cynical, negative and critical, Find new friends. The Bible advises in Proverbs  13:20 that "He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm". Apostle Paul also says in 1 Corinthians 15:33 - "Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits.". You can take some time to meditate about friendships and choose henceforth to be very deliberate about choosing friends.

4. Change your Values.

Do you give yourself low self esteem? It's time to get high. What kind of value do you place on yourself? Your God is a big God and his thoughts for you are not of evil but of good and to give you an expected end.  (Do you care more about what people think or what God think?)
Choose to change ( you can reach your goals if your thinking is change)

5. Adapt Confessions.

Confessions are simple but powerful seeds. They go as far as helping you to change your negative realities and secure your future. Confessions are a kind of prayer that works like investment. When you use positive confessions in prayer for your mind, the results are almost instant and you begin to feel strong esteem. At that point, you are renewed.

Conclusively, it is necessary to purge our minds regularly of toxic thoughts that could harm our knowledge of Christ and the finished work of salvation
