Biography of Minister Judith Kanayo (Judikay)

Judikay is a renowned Nigerian Gospel minister and worshiper signed under the EeZee Concept  Gospel Music Record Label. She is popularly known for her gospel single “More than Gold” where she featured Minister Mercy Chinwo Blessed.

From the Igbo Eastern extraction of Nigeria, Judikay was born on 26th October to the Kanayo family as the first child in a family of four children. She is hails from Osimili South Local government area, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.

Her stage name, Judikay is shortened from her real name, Judith Ifeyinwa Kanayo. She is a graduate of Theatre Arts and Film Studies from the Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, which was founded by the revered Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. During her NYSC, Minister Judikay served at Imoru, Ose Local Government of Ondo State where she was the CLO.

Judikay is currently signed to EeZee Concepts alongside gospel musicians such as Minister Esther Olabisi, Minister GUC, and Minister Chidinma Ekile.

Judikay’s music career began with her being the back-up singer for Akinwunmi Nathan Oluniyi Akiremi popularly known as Florocka. In 2013, she released her first single titled “Nobody Else”. 

In 2019, Judikay earned her spot in the limelight when she released “More than Gold”, a piece of heart-warming gospel music that adores the beauty of God. Judikay’s “More than Gold” features Mercy Chinwo. She has also shared the stage with renowned gospel ministers and musicians such as Frank Edwards, Chioma Jesus, Joe Praize, and Tim Godfrey among others.

She attended Dalos College Ota for her secondary education.She also obtained a degree in theatre arts at the Redeemer’s University,Osun state
Judikay began by performing in her church, Christian Pentecostal Mission. Her music career began with her being the back-up singer for Akinwunmi Nathan Oluniyi Akiremi better known as Florocka. In 2013, she released her first single titled “Nobody Else”. Ever since Judikay has been a voice to reckon with in the gospel music niche.
In 2019, Judikay earned her spot in the limelight when she released “More than Gold”, a piece of heart-warming gospel music that adores the beauty of God. Judikay’s “More than Gold” features Mercy Chinwo.

She later released her debut album “Man of Galilee” in November 2019. The album which comprises of 14 solid tracks is centered on the Goodness of God; the gospel. 

Judikay is happily married to her heartthrob, who also doubles as a deep worshipper of God, Pastor Iyke Anselem opara. The lovely couple tied the knot in a traditional marriage ceremony on August 15, 2020 which was held at her hometown in Oshimili local government area of Delta State. Together, Pastor Judikay leads The resurrected Global Network alongside her husband.

Following her hit music “More Than Gold”, Judikay released her debut music album titled “Man of Galilee”. The album is a 14 track album released this year in November 2019. The album which plays for 1 hour and 4 minutes is available on all streaming platforms and digital resellers. Judikay was nominated for the Best Praise Song for her song “Idi Mma” in Maranatha Awards USA Awards. She was also nominated for the Best Prophetic Song and Gospel Music Video of the Year, for her song, “Chinedum”.
