For In God we Trust

In our world today where everyone wants a form of assurance and security in one aspect of life or the other, we see people putting trust in another person whom they think has the capacity to provide them with the needed sense of security. Everyone has someone they seem trustworthy that is, they rely absolutely on humans. What exactly happened to trusting in God?

In Isaiah 31:1-3, scriptures say Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because [they are] many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! 2 Yet he also [is] wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity. 3 Now the Egyptians [are] men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

The average man has forgotten the fact that God is involved in our everyday activities. God wants to be the first person you turn to at every point in your life but our society today has ingrained in us the mentality that God is only needed when we have problems too big for a fellow human to solve for us. But NO! God is interested in the tiniest detail of our lives, so it hurts Him when we turn to mortal man for our security in health,prosperity,from accidents,in our academics or career.

 

Trusting in the power of God never fails,it is the advantage of every believer to triumph. That is what makes the difference between a believer and a non-believer because in all we do,the hand of God is present. Proverbs 3:5-6 says,"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Here, the Bible says "in all thy ways" and not just when you are having problems. A man who follows God's step cannot go wrong because he have the complete essence of everything that cannot go wrong which is God.

 

There is nobody or any system higher than the most High.So,ignoring God and running after the help of man first is bound to doom as both the man who runs to a fellow man for help and he who wants to help are doing so without consulting the help of God first.

 

Now, this is not to justify being selfish or proud but never beg people with the kind of thought that "they are all you have" or "you will die if they do not help", God is the absolute helper and He only uses human vessels, this should remain ringing at the core of your heart.
