Biography of Brother Segun Ariyo

Pastor Oluwasegun Ariyo, who is popularly known as Brother Segun Ariyo was born on the 29th of April 1963 to Reverend Ariyo and Mrs. Ariyo. He was the only child of his parent and was born to them whilst they were already in their advanced years. He was known to grow up troublesome in the face of his parent’s elderliness but was cultured by godly men around him at that time.

Between 1982 and 1985, Pastor Segun Ariyo attended and graduated from The Polytechnic Ibadan, Nigeria with a degree in Accountancy. He also holds a Diploma Degree in Advanced Christian Leadership from the Life International College of Theology. Upon his graduation, he worked as a District Accountant and Depot Manager with Cooperative Supply Association (CSA), Ibadan, Nigeria, between 1986 and 1988. Prior to his response to labour for ministry, Bro Segun Ariyo, as he is fondly called also had a good time running a video outfit with an auto business, from 1988 till 1995.

Pastor Segun Ariyo was called into ministry in 1986, he coordinates Potter’s House Christian Mission, a non-denominational Christian ministry.

In response to God’s call, he began a ministry and had to quit his business on the 20th of December, 1995. The ministry began as a church-denomination called Good Report Ministries, in March 1996, but in April 2006, the church transited into a non-denominational Christian ministry called Potter’s House Christian Mission, with the simple focus of building lives, raising homes, and touching nations for Christ, through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and discipleship.

This disciple, as he refers to himself, is a teacher of the Word and he is well sought-after in Christian meetings, conferences, and conventions. 

Pastor Segun Ariyo is the coordinator of the Potter's House Christian Mission Summer School Potter's House Christian Mission Summer School. Established since August 2014, the summer school organises annual free Summer coaching for Secondary School students, who are resident in the neighbouring villages around its location. We give these students free Big Notes, Mathematical Sets and few text books, to assist them. We also give scholarship to very few exceptional ones. All these we do, as our way of giving back to the society. We have an average of 300 students in attendance, every year. The Summer School hopes to graduate to a free boarding Summer School, as God grows facilitiies, and, ultimately, a non-tuition fee school.

Segun Ariyo is also the founder of the Cross-Fire Online Radio. Founded in March 2020, the platform is associated with Potter's House Christian Mission and functions as a gospel spiritual movement in providing the missing link to this generation.

Bro Segun Ariyo as he is known to be called refers to himself as ‘this disciple’. He is a blogger on WordPress and has also authored some books by God’s grace. Some of these includes:

Segun Ariyo is happily married to Mrs. Bosede Ariyo in October 1988, and they are blessed with two children, Precious and Ransomed Ariyo. He used to live in Ijebu Ode, but relocated to Ibadan, and currently resides in Lagos State Nigeria.
