A Burning Altar by Olatunji Zion

A Burning Altar by Olatunji Zion

A burning altar,
vibrant and as bold as a lion
ready to face the heat of the iron
even when the cost shot higher.

A burning altar,
for a living sacrifice,
as a holy sanctuary,
in a sanctified mortal.

A burning altar,
discharging a sweet perfume of love,
in a hateful oppressive world.
An agape love.

A burning altar,
An activated portal,
with the heavenly feathers
flying higher, despising the temporal weather.

A burning altar,
whose smoke distorts
the chains of this dark world.
shedding the light of the living word.

A burning altar,
as flies of corruption have no home to breed
sin got no friendly breeze
for the Holy Spirit breathe.

A burning altar,
making the devil shudder
restoring lost souls.
an awakening flame.

A burning altar,
refining old recruits to refire,
reigniting the passion in dead altars.
an influential mortal.

A burning altar,
never growing old in faith
ever new in the spirit.
a work in progress.
