Fire on the Altar by Obasond Daniel

Fire on the Altar by Obasond Daniel

I was a pace where oblations are made
I was being lubricated by incenses
I feel excited when I'm serviced
I feel good with evening sacrifices
I'm not ashamed of burnings
I found comfort in my consistency
I respect every moment of my burnings
I esteem my personal time with the supreme
I enjoy the fellowship of the spirit
Overnight, my light went off
My fire went out
My burning ceased
My passion fizzled out
My tenacity was perverted
And so I lost my power
I became dry
I felt defenceless
I became restless
Lost my enthusiasm
I was watered down with a negative zest
I was made to see through wrong lens
Couldn't be consulted with my horoscope
Teared profusely for reignition
Ponder on regaining my relevant
Thought on where to pick up again
Then my spirit was fortified with His word
The glory of the later house,
Sure be greater than the former
This I latch unto
And my alter was kindled.
