No Longer a Slave; The Bright and Burning Child of God by Oluwagbenga Asalu

There she was
Shrivering in the dark cold night
The weather seems not favourable
Slowly, she was losing hold of herself.

Running like a fierce wind,
It could not find a place to settle
The thoughts seems too hard to resist,
It's calling her a slave!

The grip of fear was so much evident
The fire and fragrance of the altar fading like smoke
Away it went; her confidence vanished
Her soul was torn apart and,
Two worlds picked up a fight within her.

Subscription to one says; she is a slave
The other repellently chanting - she is not!
Now, the gravity of her condition because inestimable
With so much pain, she cried out for help.

  In a twinkle of an eye,
An ignition occurred deep within her
The reality came like the dawn;
The recognition of her true identity.

She is not a slave, not even one to fear
Just as the beams of light were coming
The fire on her alter got rekindled
Infusing her whole being with understanding,
Here and then, she discovered herself and said;
I am no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God shining and burning bright from glory to glory.
