A great hunter fought a great battle and won,
he was awarded fire from heaven.
This great hunter kept this fire in a pot and tended it day and night,
He taught his children and they taught their children,
To every town where the fire abode, it brought peace and prosperity.
Until one day, the fire began to burn low,
the crops failed and the animals died.
Alas, the fire burnt out,
the chiefs were called and the gods were sought.
"The solution," they all cried out in fear
They had to calla quest to find Olodumare and learn about the fire.
And so, men and women with great skill and courage set out to find Olodumare.
They stumbled and got lost,
these skilled group were rescued from hunger by a stranger who had vast knowledge about the hunter,
He cared for them, gave them food and taught them the history of the hunter's lineage,
history long forgotten. After a few days,
they begged this stranger to follow them home and teach this way, he agreed after great persuasion.
On the way home, a great beast attacked and this stranger gave his life for them to escape,
they mourned him, buried him and headed home.
They discussed amongst themselves what they would do
They would teach the people what the stranger had taught them, they decided.
And as one village, they cried out for mercy from the one true God,
for days they fasted and prayed and waited for answer.
On the third day, the wood began to smoke,
they intensified their prayers and more smoke came out,
the forth day a tiny flame was noticed and the people prayed harder and better,
until the flame rose higher and higher.
The days of prayer made them warriors, walking and burning altars, their land was restored and the flames never went out,
because these men prayed continuously and studied the Word the stranger taught them.
They feed their fire with the wood of prayer and flint of the Word and they prospered.
This is so creative. Bringing the Bible event and creating a story around it is just impressive.
