Biography of Pastor Kola Olugbodi

Pastor Kola Olugbodi was born on August 6, 1965 in the city of Lagos to Mr. Joshua Oyedele Olugbodi and Mrs. Grace Olabisi of Ara town, Osun State. 

Growing up with his eight siblings, Pastor Kola Olugbodi attended the Atunda-Olu Missionary School for the Handicaps for his primary education from 1971-1976. He later proceeded to Baptist Academy, Obanikoro for his secondary education and thereafter moved to conclude secondary education at Ede Baptist High School, Ede Osun State in 1983. He is a 1988 Bachelor of Science (BSc) graduate of Demography & Social Statistics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Pastor Kola Olugbodi pioneered the background check industry in Nigeria and he is currently the CEO of Background Check International, Nigeria’s first background check company. He is currently Africa’s leading background check expert, and the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Association of African Professional Background Screeners.

Pastor Kola is a Fellow of the Institute of Information Management (IIM), Africa, and also the first African member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), USA. Kola is also an Advisory Board Member of the International Due Diligence Association (IDDA) USA, and an alumnus of the US Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).

As a pastor, public and motivational speaker, Pastor Kola Olugbodi is the author of "Through It All", an account of his many trials and triumphs in life. He is also a workshops and conferences facilitator and a preacher by calling whose hallmark in life is to always impact other people’s lives for God and for good.

He is happily married to his wife, Toyin Olugbodi and they are blessed with two children - male and female.
