Uriah was Bathsheba’s husband and a valiant warrior in David’s army.

3. You need a Company

When David was going to kill Uriah, he gave two instructions to the commander of his army. He ordered that Uriah should be placed in the hottest part of the battle and also ordered that the soldiers should withdraw from him in the heat of battle. It was the second command that killed Uriah, not the first. Uriah was a warrior. He was one of the mighty men of David. Such men loved the hottest part of the battle. What killed Uriah was not that he fought in the fiercest corner but that his company withdrew from him in the heat of battle. This is a lesson that no matter how mighty you are in any area of life, you need a company. They Withdrew From Him And Left Him Alone

In Acts 4 when Peter and John faced the high priest and the Jewish leaders. It was really hot for them. The Bible says they went back to their company and told them what happened, and they all prayed until the place was shaken.

It was only Peter and John who faced the heat, yet all of the company prayed. Do you remember when Peter was arrested in Acts 12 and the church prayed

The Bible says there are four things little in the earth, but very wise. It says although the locusts have no king, their secret is that they advance in ranks. That means they move together.

No matter how advanced in any area of life you are, or well accomplished; don't forget that the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the strong

One person may easily be overcome in the heat of battle, but two can withstand the same pressure, and as it is written in Ecclesiastes 4:12, a threefold cord is not easily broken.

Now, though having a company is very important; we must choose very carefully. Your company can easily destroy you, if it consists of the wrong people.

Once when the Philistines were ruling over Judah and they came to arrest Samson. The men of Judah came to deliver Samson to them.

They tied him with a rope and handed him over to the Philistines. As soon as Samson was with the Philistines, he easily broke free and destroyed 1000 Philistines

This teaches that the anointing you carry is n
