If you had some gold substance kept in your house, you would be very conscious of who comes in and who goes out, don't you think? Even when you have to go out sometimes, your mind would be on that particular thing that you left at home.
The simple truth about this whole thing is that your heart is most times in the places or the people you cherish. It is true for people who are in love as well as they think about their partners almost now and then.
And even if sometimes, they are distant apart, they still cannot take their thoughts off their partners. Let's see what the scripture has to say concerning our hearts and what we treasure.
"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". (Luke 12:34).
There can be no truth more true than this, isn't it? Could it be that the reason many believers lose consciousness of who they are and what kingdom they are to represent here on earth is that their hearts are not with God?
Cause if they have treasures laid in heaven which of course isn't some physical gold, diamond, or silver, they would be conscious of who they are and what kingdom they are to represent.
The one question that we all should ask ourselves is this, am I conscious of who I am as a believer? Being risen with Christ, shouldn't we seek those things which are above where Christ sits on the right hand of God? Shouldn't we set our affections on things above and not on things on the earth since we are dead and our life is hidden with Christ in God? (Colossians 3:1-3). The Lord bless his word in our hearts. Amen.
