There are certain things we need to know about God and one of them is to know that God is powerful. In this case, we mean to say that there's nothing God cannot do. It would amaze you to know that there's no situation insurmountable for God. When we have this knowledge in us as believers, we would rest confidently in God rather than fear or worry.
If your biological father had power enough such that he can do and undo, wouldn't you be glad? If God is more powerful than your father, what do you think God's power would look like? The passage of scripture below will show you that. Let's see it below,
"The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. [7] The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. [8] He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them. [9] He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. [10] The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth, and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed." ( 1 Samuel 2:6-10).
God has got so much power that although he is merciful, he can kill and make alive. Didn't he by his power destroy Pharaoh and his hosts in the red sea? Didn't he by his power part the red sea so that the children of Israel were saved? (Exodus 14).
The Lord is so powerful that he can make poor and make rich. Didn't God strip the Syrians of their possessions and made Israel rich? ( 2 Kings 7). God by his power can raise the poor out of the dust. He has the power to bring low and lift a person. No one else but God can do this. He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory. Didn't he by his power raise Mordecai and brought down Haman? (Esther 6)
What can God by his power not do? God by his power keeps the feet of his saints, and the wicked he makes silent in darkness, and even his adversaries are broken to pieces. Who then can stand before God or win against him? No one. If God who is all-powerful is for you, who then can be against you? No one. The Lord bless his word in your heart. Amen.
Daily Nugget: None can be compared to God in power. God is all-powerful and by his power, he does wonders that even men in their wisdom cannot comprehend.
Prayer: Having known you to be all-powerful and that none can be compared to you in power, I am confident that with you on my side, I shall not fear nor worry. Thank you, Lord, for this assurance. Help me to ever trust in your saving power. In Jesus' name. Amen.
