Does God lie? Yes / No
God's word has always been true, it has always stood the test of time and no matter the human interference, it will always come to pass with speed. Today, with the emergence of social unrest, economic depression and religious warfare all around, believers have found it hard to take in what God has said. Doubts and situations of this world have gradually filled out the space meant to imbibe the word of God and now, the born-again Christian doesn't live any better life than a heathen.
However, God's word remains true and constant and in this article, I will be sharing five key Bible verses that proves that God is true and shows how much more God wants you to know about His faithfulness to His word.
This is one of the many Bible verses that anchor my life as a person. No matter how tough a situation is, I always remember that God has led me into what I am doing at that point in time and He will never leave me without support. Not because of myself only but so that His name will not be dragged in the mud. As a Christian, you must keep in mind that God cannot change His mind about you - He has told you that your health and prosperity matter to Him (3 John 2), so, He won't change His mind about it. He will see you through but He needs you to cooperate and believe in His capability.
This verse of God's word has been proven to be true from the inception of this world till forever. Really, the fact remains that there's no earthly government that will be able to provide a one hundred per cent welfare for all its citizens - some will have to remain at the lower rungs of society and for anyone to rise from these levels, such a person has to know and believe that God's word is the only sure protection from physical danger, economic hardship and financial meltdown. God's word is forever, the believer's shield in every sphere.
"Trust" is a very strong language in the believer's walk with God. Consider a scenario where you are to take a plane to the nearest country to you, your trust in the professionalism of the pilot helps you sit back, relax, enjoy cool music and go to sleep. In this way, you're practically placing your life and death in the hands of a mortal man like you.
How much more when God tells you to relax, that He's ready to take care of every situation for you and that you only need to sit back and see His goodness? You should trust everything He says - not selectively but completely.
This is why when He says, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." [Isaiah 41:10], you're going to stop being anxious. When God tells you, by the stripes of Christ, you're healed [1 Peter 2:24], you should drop whatever hospital reports you have in your hands and declare your healing from the word of God! Your victory is the faith in Christ which you have.
In every language, tribe and tongue, forever means forever. There's no addition or subtraction from it. God's word will only remain unfulfilled if He stopped being God. Although it may tarry, it will come to pass so, learn to put your heart at rest because God is most definitely not a liar.
The word of God is simple, not complex at all to comprehend and if it is that simple, then, how possible is it for God to waive out of His promises to you?

1. Numbers 23:19
"God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?" [NLT]This is one of the many Bible verses that anchor my life as a person. No matter how tough a situation is, I always remember that God has led me into what I am doing at that point in time and He will never leave me without support. He will see you through but He needs you to cooperate and believe in His capability.
2. Psalms 18:30
"God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection." [NLT]This verse of God's word has been proven to be true from the inception of this world till forever.
3. Psalms 33:4
"For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does." [NLT]"Trust" is a very strong language in the believer's walk with God. Consider a scenario where you are to take a plane to the nearest country to you, your trust in the professionalism of the pilot helps you sit back, relax, enjoy cool music and go to sleep. 4. Psalms 119:89
"Your eternal word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven." [NLT]In every language, tribe and tongue, forever means forever. There's no addition or subtraction from it. God's word will only remain unfulfilled if He stopped being God. Although it may tarry, it will come to pass so, learn to put your heart at rest because God is most definitely not a liar.
5. Psalms 119:130
"The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand." [NLT]The word of God is simple, not complex at all to comprehend and if it is that simple, then, how possible is it for God to waive out of His promises to you?
Just the same way you as a person see learning the English alphabet as the easiest thing to do, God also finds fulfilling His promises to you the easiest thing that could ever exist. So, when you live on the fact that you can never go wrong by trusting God's word, you will be able to live above the systems of this world.
Conclusion
Let me leave you with these final words. Whatsoever the devil tells you about God being a liar is a lie. The devil loves to bring a narrative different from God's and you must not allow it.
