Biography of Minister Mercy Young Oyama

Mercy Oyama, popularly known as Mercy Young is a multi-talented Nigerian gospel Artist. She's a passionate singer and songwriter, who has blessed a lot of people with her songs. She's the C.E.O of Life Success Academy, Lagos state. She started singing at the age of 12 in her church( St.Patrick Catholic  Church choir) Onyadama. Since she professionally started her music career in 2022, she has increasingly gained local and international popularity through her songs and music videos. She's currently under the management of Suji the musical herbalist and also in collaboration  with her Spiritual father- Prophet Joseph Amara of Testimonies Arena International Ministries USA.

 EDUCATION BACKGROUND:

She's a graduate of  English and Literary Studies from University of Calabar. She did her NYSC at Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto state, where she served as an assistant lecturer in English department and She was also  Corpers Liaison Officer (CLO)2010. She was the first pioneer Girls Senior Prefect (GSP) of Community Secondary school Onyadama.

EARLY LIFE/ BACKGROUND: 

Mercy Young comes from Onyadama,Obubra Local government Area in  Cross River State, Calabar.Born into a polygamous home of Seven( maternally) and she's the second child and first daughter of her mother: Late Mrs Lydia Felix, and seven child out of 15 children of her father: Mr. Stephen Oyama,  although abandoned by her biological father without any reason but catered for by her late mother and loved by her Heavenly Father. After the death of her mother in 2015, life became unbearable for her as she single handedly struggled to overcome hurdles of life. Her being abandoned  by her biological father gave rise to her philosophy: 

Minister Mercy Young believes that no one is born stagnant," the rejected stone shall become the chief corner stone.so, I move from grass to grace. She's an industrious woman  who believes in hardwork and progress.
