Biography of Victor Thompson

Victor Thompson is a Soul Singer, and Gospel Musician who was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on 11th November, 1986. He hails from Okpara-Island in Ethiope East local government area of Delta State. 

Growing up, Victor Thompson attended the St. Anthony Nursery and Primary School and later moved to Caleb International School, Lagos, for his primary education. Upon completion, he gained admission to the Government College, Ikorodu for his secondary education. He thereafter proceeded to the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurrun, Delta State (FUPRE), were he graduated with a Bachelors from the Department of Environmental Science.

He started singing at a very early stage of his life. And started his career professionally in 2005. He was a contestant on The Voice Nigeria season 2, held in South Africa. He has directed a lot of singers, churches and music shows across the globe. He was also the director of a few Tv shows like Vocalist Naija and Artmosphere Reality Show. Victor Thompson is also one of the Judges on the show, Artmosphere Reality Show, that airs on DSTV.

He debuted the music scene officially with his first single "Miyeruwe" in November, 2018. In January 2023, he released the single "This Year (Blessings)" featuring Nigerian co-singer Ehis D'Greatest. The single topped the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats chart at number 35 and [11] [12] also peaked as No. 14 in the United Kingdom according to the Official Charts. Other singles he has released include "Not Moved", "You Make All Things Beautiful" and "Thank You". In July 2023, he was nominated for the 16th Headies Awards in the category for Best Inspirational Single, alongside Davido, Neon Adejo, Nathaniel Bassey and others. He just released a new single titled never find and it has been making waves across all streaming platforms.
