Living a life of Victory over Fear in Christ

It's easy to confess the word of God when it's okay and all things look fine. It's easier to repeat what the pastor says during a service. It's simple to preach comfort to the downcast but what happens when you’re the one who’s down?

What happens when suddenly, all the positive confessions leave your heart and all the rejoicing turns to plain sorrow? What happens when the assurance you once built comes crashing down like a melting slow hill?

Why do we forget the scriptures so easily? How do we forget that nothing is bigger than God? Why do believer's forget God's promises so cheaply when God's arm is ever outstretched, willing to help us at every instant.

Some conditions can be so painful and blinding but dearly beloved, God can never forsake you. He showed his love by sending his only begotten to die for you, what a show of love! The Bible in John 3:14-18 says that just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up, so whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. It goes on in Verses 16-18 to say how much God loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

If God could send his precious son and watch him for die for you, what can he not do for you? What is that thing that you think is too big for God to solve? As recorded in scriptures in the book of Hebrews 13:5b, God will not leave you nor forsake you. You're never alone.

Study these verses very carefully. Let every single sentence sink deep into your conscience.

    Psalms 91:1-5, 7-16

    [1]He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.   [2]I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.   [3]Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.   [4]He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    [5]Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

In verses 7-16 of the same chapter, it reads that “a thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee - Instead, your eyes shall see the reward of the wicked. This is because you have made the LORD a refuge and habitation;

    [10]There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.   [11]For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.   [12]They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. [13]Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.   [14]Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.   [15]He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.    [16]With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Did you see this! This is an assurance of victory Which is again confirmed in God’s word as we read in 1st John 5:4 which says “whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith”. Verse 5 goes further to say that only those who believe that Jesus is the son of God overcomes the world. This means, if you believe that Jesus is the son of God, you have automatically overcome the world.

This is a cause to always rejoice even In the midst of tribulations because you understand that you've overcome already.

Do you know that victory is first of all created in the mind before it manifests physically?

How do you Stir up the Victory on your Inside?

Simple!

1. Put the word in your heart.

Let the word of God fill your entire being. When a situation comes and you have nothing in your heart, you begin to stumble. Our faith is a fight and as a believer, you're expected to be ready for war at any time. That's why you have a bible, and a man of God over you to teach you God's word.

When was the last time you opened your church notes to read asides from Sunday?

Do you diligently study your Bible asides Sunday morning?

2. Stay Obedient

The things of God are very simple and many times, true (dedicated and full) obedience is all we need. If you are obedient to God’s word, you'd stand up to the enemy and based on your authority in Christ Jesus instead of crying and sobbing your heart out in fear. God has given you all power and authority to command the enemy and cause fear to get out, because you can.

3. Believe in the Victory which Christ won for you

Believing comes before confessing and so, you must build a strong system of belief around the life of victory which you live in Christ.

4. Confess Victory as Your Inheritance

Confess it, not only on a Sunday morning. Confess God's word everyday whether you feel good or not. When you wake up in the morning, or walk on the road side, let the words on your lips be positive confessions of your victory in Christ. You can say the following confessions:

"God is for me today so I cannot fail. I'm strengthened by the spirit of God and Victory is my inheritance. My day is blessed, and I’m highly favored. No one ruins my day. My day is productive. I'm preserved and catered for because I've got a loving father watching my back"

Don't let your inheritance slip out of your hands. Don't live a life that falls at every circumstance. Use your authority and stay conscious of the fact that God will never leave you.

Conclusion

God is love personified and in His love, our eyes are opened to see the great ability we have again fear and the power of the enemy. By our mortal senses, this greAt ability is unbelievable but God’s love helps us to walk by faith-which starts from believing in our hearts that great power resides within us.

God is always for you beloved. Make this a chant - Speak and pray in tongues over it. Confess and believe it, and watch yourself become a miracle!

VICTORY OVER THE SPIRIT OF FEAR MAY 15, 2023 Are you prepared to discover how to dismantle the spirit of fear the enemy has erected in your mind and heart? Jesus revealed the solution to you. The first step to overcoming the spirit of fear is by rearranging your priorities and combating it with fervent prayers. This is precisely what He was referring to in Matthew 6:33 when He said, "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." To put it another way, God promises to protect you from other things in life that can make you nervous or fearful if you spend your time and energy aligning yourself with what He is doing to advance His kingdom on earth. When Jesus said, "Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will take care of itself," He stressed this. Every day presents enough difficulties on its own (verse 34). God gives you grace one day at a time. He will not give you tomorrow's grace today, and you don't need it. Why? Because His Word tells us, "His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22–23).
In essence, you are telling God that you do not trust Him if you are afraid and worried about what will happen tomorrow. You are letting Him know that you don't trust Him. And instead of assisting you in overcoming your addictive behavior, you are allowing your own thoughts to spiral into a cycle of suffering and fear. To worry about the future is to forfeit your present tranquility and success. Let it go. What do you do when fear begins to consume your thoughts and won't let you go? The Bible reveals that the best antidote to fear and anxiety is prayer. To see what is involved in prayer and what prayer can do for your fears, look at Philippians 4:6–7. Verse 6 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." When fear overtakes you, start by overcoming it with God's truth. God advises you to change your focus because you are controlled by anyone or whatever has control of your mind. God doesn't want you to be consumed by your fearful thoughts. God wants you to put your attention on Him and let His Word and Spirit guide you. Because of this, prayer is crucial. This formula is straightforward. Be fearful for nothing, but in everything, pray. Philippians 4:6 uses the general word for prayer as well as the more specific word "supplication," which refers to asking for the answer to a specific need. Essentially that means you are to pray about everything, whether your request is general or specific. If you have a nagging fear but cannot seem to pinpoint what it is, take it to the Lord in prayer—He knows what it is. Or if you have a specific fear that you can see clearly in your mind, take that to Him too. Ask Him to help you remove your fears and replace them with His truth, and then thank Him in faith for doing that for you. Prayer: O Lord my father, help me to take courage in knowing well, Kill the spirit of fear in my heart because you are ultimately in control of all things and you have promised never to leave me or forsake me. Thank you, Jesus, for your promises which overcome fear and bring me peace in Jesus's name, Amen.
