The ace is made up of two components - the axe head (made of iron) and the axe handle (made of wood)
The axe head is the spirit of a man
The wooden handle of the axe is the flesh of the man.
The availability of an axe does it mean God will begin to use it automatically. The axe may be available but it may not be useable. God is not careless with using axes so He begins to chisel the axe in preparation for battle. It is not enough to be available but to be useable.
Things that must be chiseled from the flesh include
* Pride and arrogance
* Bitterness and Unforgiveness
* Dishonesty, Insincerity, Hypocrisy, Double facedness
