Praise Dance Academy Marks Anniversary, Looks forward to the Future


The tenth year anniversary of the Praise Dance Academy, which held on the 22nd of December 2024, at the Ondo State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Adegbemile hall was a resounding success. It was a musical dance theatre tagged "ASHES". 



The event started with dance renditions which left the audience spell bound before switching to the stage play. It was a story of redemption, empathy, love and restoration. It was a well attended event of the year. Members of the praise dance academy gave testimonies about the impact of the ministry in their life and how it has transformed every part of their life. 

 
The event started with a prayer dance by Bayode Bukayo and Bayode Fayokemi, followed by a Worship dance by Anthonia. Both dances were liturgical dances from members of the Praise Dance Academy. 

 
The kids were also given a platform which was well utilized as their dance was topnotch. All this were followed by the dance stage play 'ASHES'. It was written by member of the team, Adetula Progress, directed by Bayode Ayonitemi and Coordinated/Produced by Mr Abiodun Babalola, the Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director of the Praise Dance Academy
 
 
 
The event attracted various dance lovers, well wishers, friends and family of the ministry, with numerous thrilling comments after the event, confirming that it was a brilliant artistic expression that tells a story of transformation. Particularly, the climax of the stage play titled "Ashes", was a dance to "break every chain". It was a dance of deliverance and breaking  through from obstacles, addictions etc and coming into limelight. This dance received a standing ovation by the audience who were thrilled and ministered to by the synchronisation and message of the dance. It was indeed Gospel of dance as the Praise Dance Academy believes dance is a ministry tool which can be used to pass across messages of love, hope, deliverance, salvation etc to people.
 

 
While appreciating the attendees in his address, Mr Abiodun expressed his gratitude to God for the privilege to host such a remarkable event. In his words, "We give all thanks to God for seeing us through and granting us the grace to hold such a mind blowing event".
