Ask Until your Joy is full

Recently, while studying the Bible, I came across John 16:24, which says, "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." This verse also reminded me of a conversation I had with myself sometime ago.

I recall that while standing in the kitchen, my mind began to wander, and a sentence popped into my head: "Ask until your joy is full." I've been praying for something, and my heart has grown weary from repeating the same prayer over and over. I started to think that maybe it wasn't yet time for God to answer my prayer.

But then I felt God asking me, "Is your joy full?" I was taken aback, thinking, "How can my joy be full when I feel like my prayers aren't being answered?" But God helped me understand that it's not about the prayer being answered, but about my faith.

There's a way to pray that exercises faith, bringing joy and awareness that our prayers have been answered. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." We should pray until we're conscious of the joy of answered prayer.

I've learned that prayer can lift burdens off our shoulders, washing us with a feeling of peace and joy from the inside. Prayer has a way of calming our minds and soothing our souls. When we pray, we should do so with expectation, believing that God will answer us.

Sometimes, we may feel like giving up on our prayers, but that's when we should pray more. We should pray until we feel a sense of joy and peace that comes from knowing that our prayers have been heard. We should pray until our faith is strengthened, and we're confident that God is working everything out for our good.

Conclusion

The key to experiencing joy in prayer is to pray with faith and expectation. We should pray until our joy is full, until we feel a sense of peace and confidence that comes from knowing that God is working everything out for our good. So, don't give up on your prayers, even when it feels like God is not answering. Keep praying, and trust that God will answer you in His perfect time.
