One thing about life is that it doesn't make sense until we know our purpose and start living in alignment with it.
No matter who we are, who our parents are, or the amount in our account, if we lack that thing called purpose, we still won't have that internal joy of fulfillment.
Purpose fulfillment is a vital aspect of human existence because it is the beauty of who God created us to be.
So many of us have questions in our minds like, "Who am I? What do I stand for? Why did God create me and send me into this world?"
These questions, as simple as they sound, are actually difficult to answer, but there are pointer things God has placed around us that could tell us what our purpose is.
The number one thing that can be a pointer to purpose is your God-given talents.
To give you a better understanding of this, let's look at our gadgets, like phones, laptops, and iPads.
These things come with many accessories, but their function is to browse, make phone calls, and do other things.
But with the screen, panels, charging point, etc., we won't understand the purpose that these gadgets serve. The same applies to humans; there are things or abilities God has placed in our lives to aid purpose fulfillment and all. Well, we still can have many talents in us that we have yet to unravel.
Here are some ways to discover your talents:
1. Pray and Seek Guidance: Ask God to reveal your talents and passions to you. This is actually the most important part because only a manufacturer can give a better explanation of his art.
2. Reflect on Your Childhood: Think about what you enjoyed doing as a child. What activities made you feel alive and happy?
3. Identify Your Strengths: What are your natural abilities? What do others compliment you on?
4. Explore Your Passions: What activities do you enjoy doing in your free time? What topics do you enjoy learning about?
5. Try New Things: Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new activities. You might discover a hidden talent!
6. Seek Feedback: Ask trusted friends, family, or mentors what they think you're talented at.
7. Be Patient: Discovering your talent can take time. Be patient and persistent in your pursuit.
Some questions to ask yourself:
- What makes me feel most alive and fulfilled?
- What am I naturally good at?
- What do others appreciate about me?
- What do I enjoy doing, even when it's challenging?
Note: These tips are more effective if you can answer these questions in a journal so as to assess your answers.
