Partakers of His Grace by Samuel Kayode Owosina

In the beginning was the Word,
And in the beginning was not the world:
So, before the world was,
The Word is.

Undoubtedly, the God of all grace has been in the invisible since!
Even before anything that is visible or seen.
Hence, to take away sins,
He was brought to the scene:
For the Word was made flesh,
And dwelt among us,
And of his fulness have all we received,
And grace for grace.

Wherefore, we are partakers of His grace;
Even part-takers of His face
Because God created man in his own image.
Hence, let us walk in the light of his face:
For where sin abounded,
Grace did much more abound.

There is power in the word!
Power greater that any power in the world
Therefore, let us hold fast our profession
And not give up our good confession

Besides, our home is not here;
But in the world to come.
So, we must give our years
To hear the glorious gospel with our ears
For we have no continuing city here,
But we seek one to come.

This world does not have a future:
For the fashion of this world passeth away.
But the Word is the future,
And he that doeth the future
Abideth for ever in the picture.

Likewise, the future is nature,
And the features are divine.
Therefore, we must abide in the vine
That we might be partakers of the divine nature.

Also, our future is in the Son:
Our future is not going to the sun.
Therefore will not we fear,
Though the sun and the moon be darkened,
And though the stars withdraw their shining:
For the LORD shall be our everlasting light.

Truly, in the Son is the light of men;
However, in the sun is the sight of men.
So, we must shun the world!
By walking in the word.

Particularly, grace is given to us to fight:
To fight the good fight of faith,
And not give in to any sinful fate;
Until we lay hold on eternal life.
