Christian Poetry: the ARROWS

A man is He,

gold-coated quiver by his side,

filled with arrows of purple and white,

of varied stature,

but of the same standard.

Jael,

wife of her man, Heber

his tent, her tent;

an arrow stirred to do,

an arrow of household skills.

Samson,

seven locks of perfection,

a Nazarite of His;

an arrow bustled by His Spirit,

an arrow of strength.

David,

the very picture of health,

delicately crafted face and frame;

an arrow anointed with oil,

an arrow of sounds.

You and I,

both old and young,

arrows of purple and white;

arrows in the making,

and arrows made.
