July 17, 180 AD

Twelve North African Christians from Scillium (modern-day Tunisia) were executed for their faith. Their trial and martyrdom are among the earliest recorded in Christian history.

13th July 13, 1877

On this day in Christian History, Maqhamusela Khanyile's Martyrdom, the first South African Christian martyr, was killed for his faith during King Cetshwayo's reign.

13th July, 1885

A group of 22 Catholic and 23 Anglican converts were executed in the Kingdom of Buganda (now Uganda) for their Christian faith.

13th July, 1886

On this, Father Edward Flanagan was born in Roscommon, Ireland, Father Flanagan was a Roman Catholic priest who founded Boys Town (originally named the Home for Homeless Boys) near Omaha, Nebraska. His work focused on providing care and education for homeless and troubled youth. 

13th July, 1935

On this day, R.T. Kendall was born in Ashland, Kentucky. Robert Tillman Kendall is a prominent Christian writer, speaker, and teacher. He served as the pastor of Westminster Chapel in London for 25 years and has authored over 50 books, including "Total Forgiveness."
