On this day, John A. Davis, a Protestant evangelist who founded the Practical Bible Training School was born. This Practical Bible Training School is now known as Davis College, to train ministers and missionaries.

On this day in Christian History, after months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria, the Lagos State government approved the reopening of religious centres starting from August 7, 2020. Churches were permitted to hold services at 50% capacity, marking a significant step towards normalcy for Christian congregations in the state.

With Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, and other men of God ministering on the theme “Beyond Expectations”, the Convention was scheduled to run through till the 13th of August 2023.
