9th September, 1925

‎On this day in Christian History, Abiodun Christiana Akinsowon had a vision that led to the birth of the Cherubim and Seraphim movement in Nigeria. This became one of the most influential African-initiated Pentecostal churches. 

9th September, 1973

‎On this day in Christian History, African churches were reporting record growth in ecumenical fellowships. ‎Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya became centers of Christian conferences connecting African Independent Churches (AICs) with global Christianity. 

9th September 9, 1979

‎On this day in Christian History, Eben (Emmanuel Benjamin) , a renowned gospel singer, vocalist, songwriter, and member of Christ Embassy (a leading Pentecostal church founded by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome) was born.
