Dr. D.K. Olukoya Shares Music's Role in Uniting Believers Across the World.

Lagos, Nigeria - Dr. D.K. Olukoya, General Overseer and founder of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Ministries, is underscoring the profound, unifying power of music in ministry. A pastor, scientist, and professor, Dr. Olukoya is the personification of a vibrant faith, and his recent message emphasizes music as a bridge that transcends cultural and linguistic boundaries to bring people together with God.

In his recent address, Dr. Olukoya shared personal anecdotes from his global ministry, showing how he employed music in bridging divides with diverse societies. He spoke of singing in French in France, and in local tongues in Ghana and in the Igbo-speaking region of Nigeria with great zeal. This practice, he explained, allows him to "carry and connect with the people to unify for unity," something MFM members are accustomed to since they are already familiar with the ministry's vibrant and multi-lingual praise and worship.

He also stunned his audience with a story during one of his United Kingdom concerts. Dr. Olukoya described a gigantic "royal hall for ball," filled with an overwhelmingly white audience, in which he and his wife were among the few Black individuals there. The atmosphere, he said, was suddenly changed dramatically when seven Black men emerged on stage and began to play in the Zulu language. According to Dr. Olukoya, the performance deeply resonated with the audience, creating a powerful connection that demonstrated music's ability to transcend differences.

The video of the speech, and the story in it, has sparked a wave of positive comments as one viewer wrote, "Your words are so powerful and inspiring. Music really is the universal language which binds us all together, uniting us all in spirit and truth." The tone is one of overall agreement with Dr. Olukoya's main message: that regardless of our "tribe, tongue or country," music stands above differences and brings hearts together to God.

This is the essence of one of the most significant principles of his ministry, that "As a pastor, one of the most powerful ways to connect with people is through music." The comments and shared stories affirm his belief that music is not just a form of entertainment but "a universal language that carries the presence of the Holy Spirit."
