His word was chorused as a rhyme to our young hearts. Maybe like others, my eyes were too young to perceive the depth and for my heart, understanding was a gem my pocket money could not afford.
Now a teenager, He sent His word, again. Like cannabis in their body, I felt elated - you could say I was on cloud nine. Then a comedown effect, and irritation replaced excitement in me.
"The point be say na person wey go fix am me go call oh. 'Cause na him sabi the thing well well o. I no go carry matter of heart go give a human o. 'Cause he no sabi the work at all o."
Still tasting growth, He sent His word to me, again. This time, with every fibre of hope in me, I wished it would be mine and remain mine. As a young man, my financial clock raced faster than Flash, so the word in my heart, was choked by cares, fears, wears, dears.
Once again, His word came. This time, the Heart fixer I had found, where He was. My heart made ready as a fertile soil, the word I heard; the word I embraced; the word became mine, never to leave again.
"Heart fixer, where you dey? Come fix my heart. Heart fixer, where you dey? Heart fixer, where you dey? I need you. I call you because I know say na you fit fix am, na na. I know where you dey I know where to find you."
