Not everyone plans to marry a pastor. While some people dream about it, others just want a quiet life with someone who will remember anniversaries and maybe not turn every conversation into a sermon.

But sometimes, life has other plans. So one day you're just dating a nice Christian guy, and the next thing you know, he picks God's call, and people begin to address you as "our mummy in the Lord."

1. He Turns Every Situation Into a Prayer Point

You complain about stress at work.

Instead of sympathy, he says:
"Let's pray about it."

Prayer.

Your data finishes?
Special midnight prayer.

At this point, even small talk has become intercession.



2. Church Members Already Like You Too Much

You're just visiting his church, but suddenly everyone knows your name. The choir leader is smiling at you and the ushers greet you with unusual respect. Then you turn around and see the women's fellowship leader says, "We've been expecting you."

Now I'm choosing outfits based on whether they are "appropriate for church settings."

Who sent me?

Nobody told me I'd start dressing like I might climb altar any moment.

I'll say: "I need to vent."

He'll say: "Let's pray first."

We pray.

Then somehow… we keep praying.

My original gist? Gone.

Before, I could gist freely.

I see his heart.
I see his consistency.
I see how he genuinely loves God and people.

And somehow… I'm still here.

Still laughing.
Still listening.
Still adjusting.
