Renowned gospel ministers Yinka Alaseyori, Mercy Chinwo, Dare Justified, Tolu Ijogun, and saxophonist Beejaysax were among the featured performers at the 60th birthday celebration of Ogun State First Lady, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, in a thanksgiving-filled event that blended worship, praise, and celebration.
The diamond jubilee celebration began with a thanksgiving service before guests gathered for a grand reception at the Royal Box Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos. Family members, political leaders, business executives, and notable personalities joined the First Lady to celebrate the milestone.
One of the memorable moments of the event was an atmosphere of praise led by gospel ministers. Tolu Ijogun anchored the worship session, while Yinka Alaseyori and Mercy Chinwo ministered songs of thanksgiving. Dare Justified also energized guests with his popular praise songs, prompting Governor Dapo Abiodun and his wife to join in joyful dancing.
Although Afrobeats star Davido made a guest appearance later in the celebration, the event prominently featured gospel music and thanksgiving as its central theme, reflecting the First Lady’s expression of gratitude to God for six decades of life and service.
Several dignitaries attended the celebration, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his wife, alongside political leaders, traditional rulers, and other distinguished guests who paid tribute to Mrs. Abiodun’s contributions to humanitarian causes, women empowerment, and child welfare.
Beyond the festivities, Mrs. Abiodun marked her 60th birthday with acts of compassion, including a visit to the Juvenile Correctional Centre in Abeokuta, where she celebrated with children and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society.
