Nigerian AfroGospel minister, songwriter and culture architect Gaise Baba is celebrating his 40th birthday, marking the milestone with gratitude to God and excitement for what he describes as a new season of impact.
Announcing the occasion on his social media platforms, the No Turning Back singer wrote:

The announcement has sparked an outpouring of birthday wishes from fans, fellow gospel ministers, and members of the Christian community, many of whom are eagerly anticipating his forthcoming album.
Born Akinade Ibuoye on August 5, 1986, in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Gaise Baba hails from Okemesi-Ekiti in Ekiti State. He studied Economics at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) before furthering his education in Music Business at Berklee College of Music, a foundation that has shaped both his artistic excellence and his vision for using music as a tool for cultural transformation.

Since making his debut with the Gaisebaba album in 2011, he has become one of the pioneers of Nigeria’s AfroGospel movement, blending Afrobeats, Yoruba rhythms, contemporary sounds, and biblically grounded messages to reach young people with the Gospel. Over the years, he has released projects such as Logo, A Decade After, Live in Lagos, and several chart-topping singles that have cemented his place in Christian music.
Beyond music, Gaise Baba has distinguished himself as a youth mentor and social impact leader. Through initiatives such as the LightOut High School Initiative, he has reached thousands of students with messages of faith, purpose, leadership, education, and positive values. He is also the convener of the Aramanda Festival, a platform that celebrates Christian creativity through music, spoken word, and the arts.
The past two years have marked one of the most significant seasons of his ministry. His hit songs “No Turning Back” and the collaborative version, “No Turning Back II” featuring Lawrence Oyor, resonated with millions of listeners across Nigeria and beyond, becoming anthems of commitment to Christ and introducing AfroGospel to an even wider audience.
As Gaise Baba enters his fifth decade, many see his journey as a testimony to faithful stewardship, creativity, and unwavering commitment to using culture to point people to Christ.
