The language of love and the language of seduction (lust) are sometimes the same. The man who wishes a girl for a wife and the one who wishes her only for a night both say the words, “I love you”. In the same way, Scriptures tell us about the need to discern between the language of seduction and the language of love. We also learn as believers to differentiate the wolf clad in sheep skin from the real sheep.
In this case, the language of love can be likened to God’s
word to us through the Holy Spirit. At the same time, the language of seduction
and lust is similar to the voice of the devil. It becomes strange to understand
that believers may be slightly deceived to believe that the voice of the devil
is the voice of God.

One way to grow in discernment is through deep study and meditation in God’s word.
