Time management for believers is one of the many proofs of true discipline as Paul recommends in 1st Corinthians 9:27. At the end of this article, I have also compiled a few confessions to help you commit and re-align yourself to effective time management.
That said, here are a few exceptional tips to help you manage your time properly as a believer:
1. Use a To-Do List
The God we serve is a God of order. As such, as believers, it is necessary that we take on the attributes of our father by staying orderly. One good way to do this is by keeping a to-do-list and staying true to it. One of the many things a to-do-list helps you with is to manage your time properly. With a good to-do list, you will discover that you can cover much more in short time and have more than enough time to do other similarly relevant activities.
2. Stay Punctual
To stay punctual, you simply need to put things in the right place at the right time. Attending meetings at minutes later than expected or showing up to important gatherings is a nonchalant behaviour and should not be exhibited by a true believer in Christ.
3. Don't Procrastinate
One of all-time my favourite scriptures is Ecclesiastes 11:4 which says "if you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done". Well, this hits me each time I read it because the reason for my procrastination is in "waiting for the perfect condition". Now that I have learnt from verse, I understand better to do things as soon as possible - although there is a balance to this scripture, especially as regards putting excellence in the little you do without waiting for the perfect condition.

Also, in the past, you have likely heard that "procrastination is the thief of time" and that is the exact truth. The Bible in Proverbs 6:4 shows a proper example of why you should not procrastinate. Also, there’s this popular saying that you should “Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone” - Pablo Picasso. With all of these, I would be merely repeating myself by saying that avoiding procrastination is one sure way to manage your time effectively as a believer.
4. Stop Being Lazy
Laziness is a close sibling to procrastination. If you have heard that popular local phrase that "time na money" meaning that time equals money, you definitely know that laziness helps you to waste your time. Sometimes, laziness comes when you try to feel relaxed In Proverbs 10:4, the Bible says that a lazy hand is open for poverty to step in, but diligent hands bring wealth. There is a full article on how to curb laziness as a believer so if this is what you need, help is here for you.
5. Get Adequate Rest
While it is not a good idea to sleep all day, it is necessary that you get enough rest to be able to maximise your working hours. A good sleep guarantees you a healthy mind
Confessions
From today, I make a schedule of my time and I am helped by the Lord to keep to it. I do not struggle as to what I should do, how to do it, why and when to do it in the name of Jesus. I eliminate every unnecessary activity from my schedule in the name of Jesus.
Conclusion
God values His resources and time is one of those resources. If you squander
