World Prayer Stretch Day 15: Prayers for Barbados

 

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we welcome you to Day 15 of our Prayer stretch for countries across the world. Today, we are praying for Barbados. Kindly find the prayers below:

Prayer

Lord we thank you for Barbados. Thank you for your light in this land.

Lord, we ask that you continue to have your hand on this nation, and that you provide the leaders with the wisdom to guide the people in the right direction. Even if they are not believers, Lord, we ask that you speak to them in different ways so that they make decisions that honour you and make the lives of citizens better. We pray that they continue to do what is best for all the people in the country; that they continue to provide for the poor and downtrodden, and that they have the patience and discernment to do what is right.

We also pray for this country's safety. We ask that you bless the soldiers that guard the borders. We ask that you keep the citizens and occupants safe from others who would do them harm for being free, for worshipping you, and for allowing people to speak freely. We pray that there shall be no war or fighting and that this land is graceful.

Lord, we pray for this country's prosperity. We thank you for your hand in helping those who do not have homes, jobs, and more. We pray that our people continue to find ways to bless those that feel alone or helpless. We thank you for all of our blessings; thank you for your provisions and protections. In Jesus' name.

We pray for peace in this land in Jesus' name. Amen
