Biography of Pastor Joseph Prince

Pastor Joseph Prince is the founder and President of Joseph Prince Ministries (JPM) and a leading voice of the Grace revolution in our world today. He was born as Xenonamandar Jegahusiee Singh on the 15th of May 1963 in Singapore. His father was a Sikh priest of Punjabi origin and his mother was of Chinese origin. 

Growing up, Pastor Joseph Prince studied at Commonwealth Secondary School and completed his A levels at a private school, Our Lady of Lourdes. He adopted the name Joseph Prince while serving as an IT consultant, just before his appointment as senior pastor in 1990.

With over two decades of full-time ministry, Pastor Joseph Prince is a leading voice in proclaiming the gospel of grace around the world through his books, teaching resources, and television ministry.

The author of best sellers such as The Power of Right Believing, Destined To Reign, and Unmerited Favor, Joseph is also a highly sought-after conference speaker. He has impacted church leaders worldwide by preaching the unadulterated gospel of Jesus with boldness. He is known for teaching God's Word in a fresh, practical, and revelatory way that always unveils Jesus. His humorous, dynamic and engaging style of preaching has also endeared him to a wide spectrum of viewers who tune in to his daily television program. His broadcast currently reaches millions of homes across North America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Israel on both secular and Christian networks.

A founding member of New Creation Church, Pastor Joseph initially served as an elder and associate pastor. However, his unanimous appointment as senior pastor in 1990 marked a turning point in the history of the church, which started experiencing phenomenal growth. Under Joseph's leadership, the church congregation has grown by more than a hundredfold—from about 150 to more than 31,000 attendees.

Having built and established the leadership and congregation of New Creation Church on the sure foundation of Jesus Christ, Joseph is now actively fulfilling, around the world, the mandate that God has given him to preach God's unmerited favor without compromise. He heads Joseph Prince Ministries, Inc., an international, non-profit organization that seeks to build, encourage, and inspire people with the gospel of Jesus Christ through television broadcasting as well as new media technology. Joseph's ministry as pastor, teacher, conference speaker, and author continues to transform many lives, setting people free from the heavy yoke of the law, guilt, and condemnation by pointing them to Jesus and His finished work at Calvary.

We are passionate about getting the gospel of grace into as many hands, hearts and homes around the world. We  work to translate the gospel into foreign languages through Pastor Joseph's messages, books and resources into languages such as Spanish, Bahasa Indonesia and Khmer, and distributing them through our network of local pastors, churches and online platforms. We are committed to reaching out to more non-English speaking communities and making the gospel of grace accessible to them in their own language.

Pastor Joseph Prince’s ministry provides a helping hand to those in need as they help children in Third World countries like Cambodia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines break out of poverty through education and the provision of basic necessities such as nutritious meals, clothing, and school supplies. The ministry also works with its partners to provide health checks and basic medical treatment to disadvantaged communities living in slums and remote villages.

Pastor Joseph Prince’s ministry also works to fight human trafficking which affects millions of people worldwide who are sexually exploited and subjected to forced labor under this evil modern-day form of slavery. They do this by partnering with international organizations to Raise awareness of traffickers' tactics, and of how to spot victims of trafficking, Provide hotlines which victims or witnesses of human trafficking can call to seek help, and Rescue and rehabilitate victims through medical treatment, counseling, and job skills training

Pastor Joseph Prince also supports disaster relief efforts by partnering with international and local organizations operating as first responders in disaster-hit areas around the world to provide emergency supplies like drinking water, food rations, and blankets, as well as temporary shelters.

We also partner with local churches to minister the love of Christ to these affected communities, and to provide them with the means to resume their livelihoods.

Joseph Prince Ministries works with partners to make a difference through its missions outreaches and to broadcast the gospel of grace into countless homes worldwide.

Joseph Prince is a Singaporean evangelist and the senior pastor of New Creation Church, which is based in Singapore. He was one of the church's founders in 1983.

Aside from Singapore, Prince has preached at churches overseas in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Italy, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa and the United States.

In October 2014, a list published by entertainment website richestlifestyle.com placed Prince as the 10th richest pastor in the world, with a reported net worth of S$6.4 million (£3.13 million). New Creation Church denied the report, claiming that his actual net worth was "substantially lower" than the reported figure and that it regarded Prince's net worth as "personal in nature".

On 28 October 2014, The Straits Times reported that according to a 2012 tax document filed, Prince had not received any compensation from Joseph Prince Ministries or "any related organisations. The report further stated that the New Creation Church council had stated that Prince had not received any salary from the organisation since 2009.

Joseph Prince is happily married to his heartthrob, Wendy Prince. They got married in 1995 and together, they have a daughter, Jessica Shayna Prince, and a son, Justin David Prince.
