Not Ashamed of the Gospel by Omeire Mercy Chidera

A system beyond this glaring cosmos,
Whence ideologies emerge.
Diversity, every man defining his identity,
Conferred from the fall.
Traced to the beginning,
Man acquired another nature – Corruption.
This nature solely seeks its pleasure,
Steals, kills, and destroys!
Propelled by greed, lust, and sensuality;
Wrapped in delusion, counterfeiting truth.
Like in the beginning,
Painting the forbidden as ecstasy,
Birthing disobedience, and rebellion.  
Spilling lies, “corruption is bliss”.
Why Agape? What is Peace?”
Loud questions it screams!
Defilement thriving, purity ostensibly extinct.

I know of one greater,
Who walked this same earth.
The Son of God turned man
Yielding Himself to the cross, unashamed to die.
To Him, I have paid homage,
Debunking the system governing this present age.
Why then will I cower?
In revealing true blessedness.
Daily embracing my identity - Righteousness.
Audacious to live by Truth
Blatantly declaring my Faith in His Life
For I never heard of a time
When the timid overcame the world.
The system showcases its folly, unhidden
To hide the truth is to endanger the lost.
Then I remain unashamed of the GOSPEL!
Embedded with power to save all from corruption.
