Born on July 16, 1821, Mary Baker Eddy was an American religious leader and author who founded the Christian Science movement. Her teachings emphasized healing through prayer and a deeper understanding of the Bible.

16th July, 1931

On this day in Christian History, Missionary Charles Thomas Studd, who evangelized in China, India, and Africa, passed away. His work significantly impacted African Christian communities. Missionary Charles Thomas Studd was one of the famous "Cambridge Seven" and evangelist. The Cambridge Seven were 6 students from Cambridge University and one from the Royal Military Academy, who in 1885, decided to become missionaries to China through the China Inland Mission.

16th July, 1947

Born on July 16, 1947, Valnice Milhomens is a Brazilian pastor, apostle, author, and televangelist. She founded the Ministério Palavra da Fé and the Igreja Nacional do Senhor Jesus Cristo (INSEJEC), and was among the first female evangelical leaders in Brazil to utilize television for evangelism.

On this day in Christian History, Mabel Dean, a pioneering Assemblies of God missionary, passed away. Despite initial doubts, she established a significant Christian presence in Egypt, founding numerous churches and evangelistic teams.

The Encounter of Bishop David Oyedepo on the 3rd day of a 3-day mission to Imo Hill in Ilesha, studying the book of Ezekiel. God said to him: "My Son David, behold I have touched your tongue with a coal of fire and from henceforth, as you say it, you will see it." - placing authority on his tongue.

• On this day in Christian History, Children Church opens in the 4 floor L Shaped building at the Winners' Chapel Facility 28 Raji Oba, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.
• On this day in Christian History, Pastor David Ibiyeomie becomes born again. Formerly of the Cherubim and Seraphim, he joined Winners Chapel and attended full time Bible School in the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI), an arm of David Oyedepo's Ministries in October, 1995 at Raji Oba, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos. Pastor David Ibiyeomie soon received a divine call into ministry and is the Founder of Salvation Ministries (Home of Success), one of the largest Pentecostal movements in Africa.

Most Reverend Dr. Humphrey Bamisebi Olumakaiye is enthroned as the first Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Osun North East at Cathedral Church of St. Philip's, Otan Ayegbaju. Olumakaiye was elected Bishop on 22nd May, 2009 at the age of 40 and consecrated Bishop on 12th July, 2009 in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

On this day in Christian History, Kim Walker-Smith and her husband, Skyler, release "Home", their first album together. Kim Walker-Smith is an American Gospel Artiste, Songwriter and Worship Leader. She is best known as the Worship Leader of the Jesus Culture band and a Worship Pastor at Bethel Church in Redding, California.
