Preamble
We, the volunteer team of New Man Media, having been called into the sacred task of advancing the gospel through digital media, hereby commit to a life of discipline, integrity, and consistent service.
We acknowledge that our work is not unto man, but unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23). We therefore consent to this policy document not as a mere formality, but as a covenant of spiritual commitment and stewardship.
We recognize our collective calling to serve the body of Christ through digital media and the propagation of the gospel, hereby consent to take this policy document to govern our conduct, commitment, and collaboration as co-labourers in God’s vineyard. By our consent, we affirm that this is not a mere creative pursuit - it is kingdom assignment. As such, it shall be approached with reverence, diligence, and excellence unto the Lord.
Article I: Identity and Mandate
- New Man Media is a media ministry arm for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Every volunteer is a minister of the gospel, called to serve in a digital capacity with the same zeal and holiness expected of a minister.
Article II: Vision and Mission Alignment
- Every volunteer shall subscribe to the doctrinal beliefs and vision/mission of New Man Media.
- Volunteers are not mere workers but ministers of the gospel through digital expression. Your role, be it design, writing, editing, video, social media, etc., is ministry.
- Volunteers must prioritize the glory of God and the edification of His people over personal ambition or fame.
Article III: Volunteer Qualification/Membership Requirements
To qualify as a volunteer at the New Man Media and serve, an individual must:
- Profess and live by faith in Jesus Christ and maintain a consistent Christian testimony.
- Be committed to spiritual growth through prayer, Bible study, and regular fellowship.
- Be willing to submit to, be accountable to leadership and open to correction and discipline.
- Demonstrate spiritual maturity, or be committed to growth through discipleship.
- Complete an Onboarding Program and all onboarding protocols within two weeks of joining, understand the terms of service, after which they commit to the guidelines herein.
Article IV: Commitment to Excellence, Communication & Accountability
- Every task, however small, must be treated as a sacred assignment, executed with professionalism, timeliness, and excellence, as unto the Lord.
- Maintain prompt communications with the team by updating task progress or challenges regularly. Response to messages should be within 24–48 hours.
- Assignments and Tasks must be completed by agreed deadlines. Kindly notify if there will be a default.
- Be punctual and consistent with submissions, deadlines, and meetings. Don’t promote a culture of excuses, inconsistency, or lateness.
- Be active in designated communication platforms (WhatsApp) and do not disappear without proper notice.
- Communicate within 1 month of silence without notice will be treated as disengagement.
- Volunteers must attend monthly team meetings (virtual). Three (3) consecutive absences without notice is a ground for review of membership.
Article V: Penalties & Disciplinary Measures
All penalties are aimed at correction, not condemnation. We believe that correction must be firm, and so the disciplinary process will be wrapped in love and accompanied by prayer. The following may warrant disciplinary action:
- Repeated lateness or unfulfilled assignments without notice
- Ignoring team chats and official communication.
- Poor attitude, dishonour to leadership, or strife among the team.
- Inappropriate public conduct that brings disrepute to Christ or the ministry.
- Persistent disobedience, refusing correction, silence, dishonour to leadership, or irresponsibility will lead to removal from the team.
Disciplinary actions may include:
- Official Verbal/Written caution/warning reminding volunteer of his/her spiritual and moral responsibility.
- Temporary suspension (2 weeks - discretionary). A brief restoration session is held to counsel and realign them. Volunteer must also recommit in writing before reinstatement.
- Reassignment or role removal
- Permanent exit from the team. A formal email will be sent detailing the reasons for removal.
As a ministry, we believe in redemption and as such, we have created a restoration path for erring members who were asked to exit the team. Restoration shall only be possible upon reapplication after one year. This is subject to leadership review, confirming the volunteer’s heart posture of genuine repentance and willingness to realign. A mentor or spiritual leader may be assigned to aid restoration.
Article VI: Spiritual Growth & Volunteer Culture
- A lifestyle of holiness, integrity, and regular prayer for the team and our mission.
- Participating in team devotionals and prayers when called.
- Encouraging one another and maintaining unity in the Spirit.
- Every volunteer is expected to walk in love, purity, honor, and humility.
- Gossip, rebellion, sarcasm, backbiting, and strife are not tolerated.
- Avoid plagiarism, lazy work, or sloppy content.
- Do not use New Man Media materials for personal gain without permission.
- Do not misrepresent Christ or the ministry through social media or offline conduct.
Article VII: Content Ownership and Confidentiality
- All content, ideas, drafts, and materials created for New Man Media are the property of the organization and must not be repurposed without permission.
- Volunteers must not leak content, ideas, confidential information e.g passwords and internal documents, team discussions, or plans to outsiders. Leaking is a breach of trust and will lead to volunteer’s exit and potential public disclaimer.
Article VIII: Evaluation and Exit Procedure
- Volunteers shall undergo periodic evaluation (quarterly or bi-annually). If a volunteer does not meet the evaluation mark, they may be asked to exit the team.
- Volunteers who wish to step down must give at least two weeks' notice and must hand over all files, responsibilities, and assets in their care.
- Upon exit, all brand-related materials must be deleted from personal devices unless otherwise authorized.
Volunteers who wish to exit must:
- Notify the team lead at least two weeks before.
- Complete and hand over all pending assignments and assets.
Exit without due process will be considered dishonour.
Article IX: Final Commitment Charge
By agreeing to serve as a volunteer, you:
- Understand this is kingdom work, and you will serve with fear of God, humility, and diligence.
- Are accountable not just to man, but to God who has called you to this team.
- Will strive to grow spiritually and creatively to advance the gospel through digital media.
