Popular Gospel Preacher, Pastor Poju Oyemade, the founder of the Covenant Nation and Convener, WOFBEC, post-humously honoured Pastor Nkechi Ene, a frequent preacher at WOFBEC.
Pastor Nkechi Ene was the founder and Senior Pastor of The Carpenter’s Church. She was a full time minister of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the host of Freshdew, a 30 minute TV programme produced in-house by Tor and which had aired for over twenty five years.
Pastor Nkechi Ene died on the 29th of October, 2025 in Port-Harcourt Nigeria. She went to be with the Lord after a brief health crisis.
Receiving the award were her children, who expressed gratitude to Pastor Poju, the WOFBEC team and the Covenant Nation as well. Remarkably, they also announced the coming launch of the Pastor Nkechi Ene Foundation in honour if their mother.
Pastor Nkechi until her death was a frequent minister at the WOFBEC, and her impact will greatly be missed.
