Nigerian singer, Kehinde Adegbodu, has revealed that the injuries recently seen on his face and hand were caused by a fire accident at his family residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The musician made the clarification amid speculations and rumours suggesting that he had suffered a spiritual attack.
Speaking in a video shared on the Adegbodu Twins’ fan page on Wednesday evening, Kehinde dismissed the rumours, explaining that he sustained the injuries in a domestic fire incident that occurred about a week ago.
He assured fans and well-wishers that he was in good health and recovering steadily from the accident.
According to him, he chose not to publicise the incident because it was not something worth celebrating.
However, concerns arose after members of the public noticed the injuries during one of his recent appearances.
“I’m making this video to address the incident that happened about a week ago and to clarify that I’m medically okay.
There is nothing wrong with me; I’m very fine. I had a fire accident at home, but I didn’t post it online because it is not a thing of celebration,” he said.
The singer disclosed that the accident affected his left hand, lips and part of his face, adding that the wounds were already healing and were not life-threatening.
He appealed to fans and the general public to continue praying for him as he recovers.
“All I need from you is prayer. May God help me overcome every seen and unseen battle.
Although the injuries are not severe, they affected my left hand, my lips and my face. That is all.
“It was rumoured that I was attacked spiritually. Please, I am not battling any form of spiritual attack. It was simply a fire accident,” he added.
The singer’s clarification has helped to dispel widespread speculation surrounding his condition, with fans expressing relief over his recovery.
