The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O) has announced the passing of its Spiritual Father, Emmanuel Alogbo, who died at the age of 93.
According to a statement issued by the church’s Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, the revered cleric passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday, July 30, at his residence in Lagos. He was said to have breathed his last at about 2:10 a.m. while surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.
The church described Alogbo as a devoted servant of God whose decades of leadership were marked by unwavering commitment to the growth of the church and the advancement of the Christian faith.
“In gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, we announce that our Spiritual Father has been called to glory,” the statement said.
As part of the mourning arrangements, the church announced that daily prayer sessions will be held for seven days from 5:00 p.m. at the late cleric’s residence in Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos. Funeral details are expected to be communicated by the church at a later date.
Prophet Alogbo was one of the longest-serving leaders of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, an indigenous Nigerian Pentecostal denomination with congregations across the country and in several parts of the world. During his tenure, he played a significant role in strengthening the church’s spiritual, administrative, and missionary outreach.
His passing marks the end of an era for the historic Christian movement, with members and well-wishers expected to gather in the coming days to pay their final respects and celebrate a life dedicated to God’s service.
