As opposed to the general belief about dance being worldly and just for entertainment, the ministry was birthed to paint the scriptures in pictures and postures through dances and artistic display. According to the founder of the Praise Dance Academy, Mr. Abiodun Babalola, the ministry believes that dance is a spiritual activity well reckoned with by God as seen in the account of King David who danced before God in 2nd Samuel 6:14.

The ministry also believes that dance is a potent tool in offering praises to God as recorded in Psalm 149:3. As such, choreographers and dancers minister through the use of Gospel and inspirational songs, thus conveying the message to the audience through specific choreographed concept and spirit filled songs that communicates a biblical and conceptual message.
