Condemnation is NOT from God

It's really tough having to juggle a lot of natural responsibilities and catering for your spiritual growth. Sometimes you get it all mixed up and forgo one for the other. At other times, you may decide to focus more on what may "physically" look more urgent rather than what's more important.

Being a spiritual being in a physical world with tribulations and worrying circumstances comes with its dire disadvantages as well as little benefit's- one of which is denying yourself the proper growth activities your spirit requires.

Understanding what deep prayer and study of God's word does to a man - It puts you above. In the early church as recorded in 1st Corinthians 3:1-2 and likewise in our world today, some believers are called "babes" by Apostle Paul simply because they refused to grow. They acted like babies and their minds were not yet nourished into maturity.

No one said being a believer would be easy, Jesus never said it'll be smooth. You'd have to make tough choices and make painful sacrifices. You must leave some thing's not because you don't need them but because you're pressing on for something greater than what this world has to offer.

It's terrible for a child to remain a child. If you see a baby at 8 months of age, you come back after 5 years and the baby is still the same- still crawling, crying and being a baby. Wouldn't you be bothered? Of course, it'll be a concern because naturally A BABY IS MEANT TO GROW. It's the same for EVERY BELIEVER in Christ. You're meant to grow or you'd remain a baby forever.

On the day when you finally get to meet God, you'd be questioned and you will give account for every moment of your entire being on earth

What's required for you to grow spiritually?

Paul's letters to the early church are very instructional and should be studied diligently. They outlined what's needed to grow up spiritually as a believer in Christ. In 1st Peter 2:2, God's word admonishes believers to desire the sincere milk of THE WORD, so that we may grow.

The word, you see, is what you need to grow. Every child of God principally needs the word of God. If it wasn't necessary it wouldn't have been written to the early church. As believers, we must understand God's word properly, and see it clearly the way God means.

You need to see Jesus in the scriptures.

You need to understand the intent of each writer of the books of the Bible to know and understand what God is saying!

Just as you need the word to grow as a believer, you also need prayer to grow. God’s word in Acts 6:4 says “we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.” In this verse, we see how the apostles knew and understood the importance of prayer and Bible study, so they refused to let go of it.

Now, you might have time consuming and exhausting jobs, you might say things during the bible days were different from now but see, nothing has really changed. What changed is just the position of man's heart towards the things of God.

When was the last time you studied your Bible wholeheartedly?

When last did you pick your church note to review what your pastor taught? When last did you pick up a sermon to listen to?

Life can be pretty demanding but what'll save you... save you is God. They're times you'd make plans to pray or study and something comes up that you just can't overlook.

Your prayer time goes by. Your heart weeps because it understands what just happened and it begins to condemn you.

The feeling of regret and condemnation because you picked something else over your prayer or study at that time. The condemning words that contradict what God has said about you. Those words that make you seem unworthy even when God has called you "His beloved".

Those words that make God look like a taskmaster when he's really a loving father waiting for you like the father of the prodigal son.

Those thoughts that tell you that God has left you even when he said he'd never leave nor forsake you.

Those heartbreaking moments when you feel like a sinner all over again simply because of condemnation even when God never condemned you.

God will NEVER lift a finger against you. God will always fight for you no matter what.

John 3:17
[17]For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

God sees. God hears. God responds. God isn't wicked. God doesn't wait for you to fall before he saves you. No matter what, God will never condemn you.

In John 8:1-11, do you remember  the story of the woman caught In the act of idolatry? They brought her before Jesus so they could trap him but they didn't understand that Jesus is God personified with an overflowing well of divine wisdom.

John 8:10-11
[10]When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
[11]She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Jesus didn't condemn her even with what she was caught in, so you must understand that, there's nothing you can do that can disgust God enough to throw his face away from you. There's nothing you do that would make God disown or forsake you.
Nothing can remove you from the hands of the father.
 Romans 8:1
[1]There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

See, when Paul was speaking to the church at Corinth in 2nd Corinthians 7:3, he said: “I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you.” Here, he was admonishing them, but he didn't condemn them.

Conclusion

If you haven't prayed, go back and pray. Don't call yourself a sinner because Christ has paid for you already. Don't say God doesn't want to hear my prayer because God Is always ready to hear you.

If you haven't studied, go back and study. Ignore those condemning words because God will never condemn you. You're really precious to God. He treats you like a very fragile egg and He wouldn't let you go because of some mistakes.

God is a loving and forgiving father. Go back to prayers today. Go back to studying today. Don't look back on the mistakes you've made or the deeds you've done. Always look forward because as long as God holds your hands, tomorrow will always be greater and far better than today.
