In an event streamed online via Pastor Isaac Oyedepo's official YouTube Channel, he openly received prayers and blessings from his father, releasing him to the manifestation of his fullness as a son of God. This video showing Bishop Oyedepo's open blessing  to his son is coming at a time when social media users and bloggers have claimed that Pastor Isaac was leaving the Living Faith Church as a result of his disrespect and dishonour. The video shared by Pastor Isaac Oyedepo was titled "Unveiling of the Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries" where his father, Bishop David Oyedepo, not only ministered but also prayed for him and his wife, Ayomitide as he anointing for the ministry.

Pastor Isaac Oyedepo in a statement, while earlier reacting to the rumors of reported departure from his father’s church to form his ministry, said he is still a member of the Living Faith Church Worldwide and that the relationship between him, his family and his father was still very intact.

He also warned the media not to publish anything about him without his consent, saying it amounted to a breach of his privacy. In his words, “it is worthy of note that no external statements have been authorized or verified by me. I must state that there are no complications in my relationship with my beloved family, and my beloved dad (Bishop Dr. David Oyedepo), who have stood by and supported me over the years; nor are there any in my commitment to my church-turned-home, Living Faith Church (also known as Winners Chapel international).

He further said “I remain a steadfast member of Living Faith Church, dedicated to service in the Body of Christ. I urge the general public to treat information not communicated by me, or from any of my social media platforms, with extreme caution. There should be no further publication(s) on social media, electronic or print media, about any severance of my relationship with the Living Faith Church, or my family, without my express authorization, as it may be considered a breach to my privacy. Thank you so much for understanding.”

While this is evident enough to make social media and bloggers to rest the case, it is important to note that God is the One that calls not our earthly fathers. In the video, Bishop Oyedepo was heard saying in part, "As hands are laid on you, I pray for unusual grace for sustainable connectivity that will keep you going without sweat. "I pray that impact will be your goal not good preaching but great impact and I pray that your life will interpret your message in the name of Jesus. "As you step into this new phase of your assignment, may you be clothed with humility. I have never begged, yet I have never lacked, I have never borrowed yet I have never lacked."
